Please note that your certification will be valid for the 5 years since training was undertaken, in line with the ISAF Special Regulations. eg if you are using an ABF511 qualification that you gained 4 years ago (to achieve RPL for your wet drill) and undertake the theory course and assessment, your Yachting Australia SSSC will expire in one years time as ISAF require that the training must have taken place within 5 years prior to commencement of the race.
Equivalent Course
Yachting Australia will accept as an equivalent course to the Yachting Australia Safety and Sea Survival Course, any Safety and Sea Survival Course delivered within the past five years and to the standard of the ISAF model course as laid out in Appendix G of the ISAF Special Regulations, which results in a certificate bearing the MNA and ISAF logos bearing the words "ISAF Approved".
