| Overview |
The holder of this certificate is a specialist in the area of long sailboards and can sail proficiently in planing conditions and above on all points of sail including footsteering, carve jybes, faster tacks and waterstarts. They should be able to complete a triangular course and tow another sailboard upwind in moderate to fresh conditions. An understanding of board and sail design, racing tactics and sailing theory relevant to this level is expected.

| Outcomes | You will be capable of sailing a longboard in at least 15 knots of wind and gain a Stronger Winds Certificate |

| Where can I take the course? | Please contact a Yachting Australia Training Centre or your nearest Sailing Club. Please ask them about our Yachting Australia Logbooks so that you can monitor your progress. |
| What to do afterwards? | Continue training in windsurfing to gain the Advanced Shortboards Certificates or an Instructors Certificate |
