Yachting Australia Training Centres
If you are a sailing school or club which currently provides sail training, you may be interested in becoming a Yachting Australia Training Centre. Becoming a Nationally accredited Training Centre means that you are part of a National Standard which will allow you and your students to avail of the best resources and tuition available. Training Centres are inspected on an annual basis in order to maintain a recognised standard of Training.
By becoming a YATC, you will gain the following benefits:
- Certificate of Recognition, which will be renewed anually upon completion of annual inspection
- Access to the insurance under an extension to Yachting Australia's Public and Product Liability Master Policy
- Listing on the Yachting Australia website, with a link to your YATC website (Where supplied)
- Entry in Yachting Australia's National Database
- Direct access to the Member Yachting Association (MYA) in the State or Territory of operation for support, guidance and advice
- Membership to a group (Yachting Australia Training Centres) identified nationally for the delivery of quality services and products, which are recognised and accepted internationally
- Discounted publications including course books and logbooks from the online bookshop.
- Access to 'MyCentre' - Yachting Australia's training database, which allows you to:
- Create courses which will be advertised on the YA website training calendar
- Add, enrol and mark students in these courses (once these students are marked, they will be sent out an official Yachting Australia certificate)
- Maintain details of your training centre - Nationally recognised 'Certificates of Completion' for every student that completes a recognised course at your Training Centre
HOW TO APPLY
YATC's outside of NSW QLD or SA must apply directly through your MYA . For NSW, QLD,and SA please contact training@yachting.org.au or download YA1 and YAGN (see below).
ALL recognised Yachting Australia Training Centres must employ current Yachting Australia Instructors.
