NSW Youth Championship NoR Available Now
It's that time again and the NSW Youth Championship is fast approaching.
NSW Youth Championship NoR Available Now
Held annually the NSW Youth Championship will be held at Georges River 16ft Skiff Sailing Club over the October long weekend, Saturday 2nd to Monday 4th October 2010.
The NSW Youth Championship has taken a different approach in 2010 incorporating class base racing, a move away from the traditional Yardstick event. Yachting NSW see's this move to attract more competitor numbers and a more fun event for all. For the few classes that cannot make the minimum number requirement for class base racing there will also be a yardstick component.
An additional Race Course Area is another major change to this year's NSW Youth Championship. The event will see two separate racing areas so the fleets will have less chance of getting in each other’s way.
Georges River 16ft Skiff Sailing Club is hosting the next Australian Youth Championship in January 2011. Yachting NSW see's the NSW Youth Championship as a great warm up regatta for competitors to familiarize themselves with the bay and the river before the Australian Youth Championship in January 2011.
The Notice of Race is now available online on the Yachting NSW website www.nsw.yachting.org.au or the direct link www.nsw.yachting.org.au/YouthChamps. Entries are now open and competitors are encouraged to get their entries in asap. The early entry cutoff date is Wednesday 22nd September 2010, after this date a late entry fee will apply.
All entries, together with the entry fee must, by the closing date for entries, sign a Code of Conduct and Parental Consent form (where relevant) when filling in the official entry form.
Come join us at Georges River 16ft Skiff Sailing Club for a fun, enjoyable and competitive weekend.
