IRC Owners’ Forums – May 2011
Yachting Australia will be hosting two Owner-focused IRC forums in May to coincide with a visit from RORC Chief Measurer, James Dadd, from the UK.
The forums will be held in Sydney and Melbourne and are well-timed to give owners advice on IRC leading up to the new rating year, which commences on 1 June 2011.
The forums will cater to owners of both existing and potential IRC-rated boats and intend to cover the following topics:
· What is IRC and how is it managed?
· Why get your boat rated for IRC?
· Ongoing development of the IRC rule
· Rule changes for 2010 – reflections on the need to change?
· Rule changes for 2011 – what to expect?
· Practical application of the IRC rule
· Q&A session
