Upcoming Measurer Seminars

Yachting Queensland will be running and hosting a National Measurer seminar at their premises in Manly, Brisbane on Saturday 14 May.

 

The seminar will run from 9.30am to 3.30pm and registration costs $55 per person.

 

Barry Johnson (IM) will present the seminar which will provide attendees with the skills and knowledge required to carry out measurement checks and also how to conduct measuring activities for individuals, clubs, class associations and regattas.

ISAF in conjunction with Yachting Australia will be hosting an International Measurer Seminar in May at Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club in Perth, WA.

Date: Friday 20^th May – Sunday 22^nd May 

Location: Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club; Keanes Point, Peppermint Grove, WA

 

Cost: $300.00 per person

Seminar presenters: David Sprague (Canada) and Barry Johnson (Australia); ISAF International Measurers

Maximum attendance 15 people – so be quick and register now.

 

The objectives of the ISAF International Measurers Seminar is to:

 

·         Prepare candidates for their International Measurer’s appointment

·         Educate equipment control inspectors as to their role at major event inspections

·         Update on techniques and full management of equipment inspection at major events

Yachting Australia is happy to announce the dates for the next ISAF International Race Officer seminar, to be held at Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club in Western Australia.

 

The seminar will run from 26-28 August 2011 and will be delivered by International Race Officers John Parrish (NZ), Charley Cook (USA) and Kevin Wilson (AUS).

 

This is a newly developed edition of this race management seminar and is targeted at all levels of race officers wishing to develop their skills further in this area.

 

Numbers will be capped at 20 participants so please register early.
