To apply to become a Discover Sailing Centre, or to renew your status as a Discover Sailing Centre you will need to complete a Discover Sailing Application and Agreement. The Application outline is provided below, however the full Application and Agreement applicable to your state is available on request from your State Assosciation. This will include the fees applicable to accreditation and delivery of the desired Programs.

Please note that if you wish to deliver the Tackers Program, a seperate Agreement will be required.

The Agreement imust be resigned every year (30 June).

Centre Reviews

Accreditation as a Discover Sailing Centre is granted once a Review has been completed of your Centre. Once your state has received your YA1 Form they will liaise with you to organise a Reviewer to visit the Centre.

All Discover Sailing Centres must adhere to the Yachting AustraliaOperating Standards and Guidelines, which can be found below. During a Review the Reviewer will be using the Centre Review Form (in conjunction with the Operating Standards and Guidelines to check the Centre is up to the Standard required. As a Centre you will be required to complete the shaded areas before the Review date.  If you wish to deliver the Keelboat Program you will also need to adhere to the Keelboat Training Vessel Checklist.

A Review of your Centre will be conducted each year to maintain your accreditation as a Discover Sailing Centre. The States will organise the Review with you directly each year. If the Centre is given an Action Plan from the Review this mus be completed in the time allocated, otherwise accreditation as a Discover Sailing Centre may be revoked.
