Do I need to pay my accreditation as well as my membership?
The National Membership Scheme (Youth and Silver membership) and the Instructor Accreditation Scheme are separate.
We provide specific Public Liability Insurance as a benefit of the Instructor Accreditation Scheme. This is not applicable nor provided as part of the membership scheme as it would not apply to the majority of our members. For details of all of the insurance cover offered by Yachting Australia please check the insurance section of this website.
Therefore as an instructor you MUST maintain your accreditation with Yachting Australia so that you are eligible to teach Yachting Australia courses and so you are covered by the appropriate insurances.
