I am a New Instructor, why did I get a Renewal Form?

The annual registration notice for you is really a Joining Notice as you are encouraged to become a registered Instructor or Coach with Yachting Australia after gaining your qualification.  It is a requirement if you will be actively teaching the Yachting Australia National Training Schemes at Yachting Australia Training Centres, and will provide you with Yachting Australia Instructor Insurance.

As we manage our renewals on a quarterly basis, your joining/renewal date will commence on the next available quarter date after you gain your qualification. Quarterly dates are as follows - 31st March, 30th June, 30th September and 31st December.

Yachting Australia provides a cover note for you to provide Instructor insurance from the day you gain your qualification until your joining/renewal date expires. Should you choose not to register, you will not be recognised by Yachting Australia to instruct Yachting Australia Certificate courses and your cover-note insurance will cease.
