The Winters will be conducted off Mooloolaba, Queensland from 8 to 11 June 2007.

The event organisers are planning for up to 65 boats this year. A fleet of this size in the 11th year of the Winters would not be surprising given the reputation Mooloolaba has for attracting a highly competitive group of Australian and New Zealand Etchells sailors.

Perfect winter sailing conditions, loads of accommodation choices close to the club, great restaurants and a friendly club environment also make the Winters the event to attend in June 2007.

World and Winters Champion Cameron Miles is expected to return to defend his Winters title. Joining him will be Etchells sailors from around Australia including reigning National Champion Skip Lissiman (Perth), John Bertrand (Melbourne), Rob Brown (Sydney), Vaughan Prentice (Brisbane) and New Zealander Alistair Gair.

The Principle Race Officers for 2007 will be the highly experienced International Race Officer team of Ross and Kevin Wilson.
