EOI for Support Staff - OAMPS Insurance Brokers Australian Youth Sailing Team - 2010
OAMPS Insurance Brokers Australian Youth Team 2009
Yachting Australia is calling for expressions of interest for support staff for the OAMPS Insurance Brokers Australian Youth Sailing Team for the 2010 Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championships and the Youth Olympic Games 2010.
The Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championships 2010 will be held in Istanbul, Turkey from the 8th – 17th July 2010. The Youth World Championships will be contested in the following classes – RS-X Boys and Girls, Laser Radial Boys and Girls, 420 Boys and Girls, Sirena SL16 Open and 29er Open.
The Australian Youth Sailing Team, including support staff will be announced on Monday 8th February 2010.
Requirements
The appointed Team Leader/Coaches will be required to participate in the following activities unencumbered of other personal or professional commitments.
- Provide support to athletes on an ongoing basis *
- Conduct domestic coaching/training camps between March and July*
- Travel to and from Turkey with the Team*
- Conduct an International Pre Event Training Camp*
- Provide Coaching Support at the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championships 2010*

Selection Criteria
- Must hold a minimum, current NCAS Level 1 Sailing Coach accreditation or an equivalent international qualification
- Must have passed a ‘Working With Children Check’
- Must hold a current Power Boat Licence
- Current involvement in national youth program and/or activities
- Consideration will be given to previous international regatta experience
- Consideration will be given to the number of athletes selected on the team
- Consideration will be given to the ‘fit’ of individual coaches and their respective skills into the coaching team
Remuneration negotiable.
