Hurry! Only Four Weeks Left to Enter the Australian Youth Championship

With just under four weeks left until entries close, the Australian Youth Championship is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Youth Championships since the event was first conducted in 1998.

To be held at McCrae Yacht Club, situated on the Mornington Peninsula, the sailing program has been extended to offer more racing divisions, and the social schedule is jam-packed with new and exciting events.

Competitors are invited to attend a Drugs in Sport seminar (presented by the Australian Olympic Committee and Olympian Weightlifter Damian Brown), a Rule 42 (Propulsion) Seminar, interviews with last year's ISAF Youth World Champions and more.

With many entries already in from sailors in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and Perth, the Championship could come down to a competitive battle of the states.

Yachting Australia High Performance coaches will be on hand to observe our future champions and help sailors of all skill levels develop their talent. This will give the young sailors access and exposure to our National coaches and a clearer understanding of the pathways to sailing excellence.

The Australian Youth Championship is also the basis for selection of the team to represent Australia in the next ISAF Youth World Championship.
