Opening Doors to Yacht Clubs Fact Sheets
Yachting Australia has developed these fact sheets in order to give clubs some support when they ask the question "what can we do to become more inclusive?" These documents should form a starting point for clubs and training centres to feel more confident in offering sailing programs to people with disabilities.
Yachting Australia recommends all clubs should encourage staff, volunteers and members to attend an Opening Doors to Yacht Clubs workshop. This is a three-hour practical workshop, run by the Australian Sports Commission's Disability Education Network. Click here to find out more information about courses in your area.
The individual fact sheets are in PDF version, to obtain a free Adobe Reader to view these files if you are having difficulty, please visit the Adobe website. For a word version of the fact sheets, please download the zip file (first menu item below).
