Project CONNECT
Yachting Australia are continuing to support the application of the successes from Project CONNECT, an Australian Sports Commission and Australian Paralympic Committee joint venture which encouraged the promotion of inclusivity for sailors with disabilities.
A National Disability Action Plan for Sailing was been developed, with initiatives in all areas of sailing for people with disabilities. This Plan had also been registered with the Human Rights and Equal Opportunities Commission (see links).
If you or your club wish to be involved in the roll out of trial Disability Education Programs, Coaching/Officiating Athletes with Disabilities Programs or are interested in becoming a qualified classifier, please contact your Member Yachting Association for further information.
