| As a result of actions taken by the ISAF Racing Rules Committee and the ISAF Council during the 2009 ISAF Annual Conference, several changes in The Racing Rules of Sailing for 2009-2012 will take effect on 1 January 2010. The changes are shown in detail here. | |||

| Advertising on boats and boards is governed by the Advertising Code (ISAF Regulation 20). ISAF has amended its Regulation 20 and removed all references to Categories A and C. The changes ISAF has made to Regulation 20 are such that everything Yachting Australia had in its prescription has now been covered in the Regulation 20. Yachting Australia’s prescription is now redundant and has been removed by this amendment. This will remove any ambiguity in the Racing Rules of Sailing. | |||
