STCW 95

 

Yachting Australia receive many calls regarding the STCW 95 qualification. This is a commercial qualification, and therefore Yachting Australia do not have direct dealings with it. Details on obtaining the endorsement are available from the AMSA website (see below).

Basically there are several requirements:

• The lowest qualification that the applicant may hold is a Master V Unrestricted 
• The applicant’s sea time must have been approved by AMSA
• The applicant must be 20 years of age

From July 1st the applicant must complete the whole Master III theory course (This is approximately eight months full time study.)Further details are available from the AMSA website.
