Members of the RVCP

As a member of the RVCP it is my understanding that I am not required to pay the Instructor Fee?

Yachting Australia and the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol (RVCP) have a longstanding agreement regarding the annual accreditation of instructors and provision of insurance cover.

The RVCP provide insurance cover for their instructors whilst they instruct under the authority of the RVCP.

If a Yachting Australia (RVCP member) instructor conducts ANY instructing or coaching outside of the RVCP framework they must pay their annual Yachting Australia Accreditation fee to ensure they are covered by Public Liability Insurance.

So essentially it is your choice, based on your instructing circumstances, as to wether you pay the Yachting Australia fee or not. The RVCP have requested that we send annual accreditation renewal notices to all their members regardless.

RVCP members are still required to comply with the Yachting Australia Instructor Re-accreditation Policy.
