Facts Found

4. At the start, CHN 1009 tacked to port in front of FIN 204 and there was contact between the boats, causing damage to FIN 204's bow sprit.
5. When FIN 204 hoisted the genakker after rounding the windward mark, the retractable bowsprit failed completely and she retired from the race.
6. FIN 204 made every effort to replace her bow sprit, but was unsuccessful and therefore unable to race in races 2 and 3.
